Toolbook

We have been using ToolBook to develop elearning.  The Exit buttons included in their library offer Exit and mark complete or Exit and discard. 
Just wondering if anyone is trying to set the course status a Incomplete if the test score is not a passing score?  What is the Best Practice for tracking user transcript info?
Our LMS by default marks users as Completed regardless of the test score which means managers have to look at scores as well as the course status.
